Baby Monitors

For almost four months now, my wife and I visited a couple with whom we were a regular bridge players. They have a newborn baby and we were re-starting the session the mother having tucked her baby to sleep, she came to the bridge table to join the game with us. We were enjoying ourselves thoroughly when suddenly there was a high pitched noise of a child wailing. We were shocked and even the mother rushed upstairs to check on her baby, I was left wondering what really happening to the baby upstairs with the  loud wailing we hear in the house? Seeing me confused with mystified expression, the husband broke into laughter and explained that it was the remarkable effect of the new contraption and they had got to monitor their baby and it was known as a baby monitor.

In our house we have also had a child, but the baby monitor we use is called the maid. She is a very efficient to handle a baby, but seriously, the only kind of baby monitor we had know was the one in the infants ward of maternity hospitals. As the husband began to explain all about baby monitors, the baby monitor according to him was an indispensable two way radio that was commonly used to monitor infants. Many parents have difficulty in times when they are doing their household chores as the baby lies in different room asleep. But parents have often discovered that there?s a constant problem between managing a baby and household chores. A baby monitor consists of a two part gadget. One part is the transmitter- that can be kept near the crib of the baby and the other part is a receiver that is carried around. In this way there is signal everywhere no matter where in the house you are, if your baby makes a noise, the baby monitor will let you know. This sounds simple right? One will wonder why nobody ever thought of it earlier time. New technology is in the market and new version of baby monitors come with multiple receivers that can connect wirelessly with your existing sound system to keep you alert. And some of the technologically advanced baby monitors come with a built-in camera for you to not just hear your baby but to see it. Even if it is moving around and not making a sound, you can still rush to comfort it. This is great invention although my first born was not monitored constantly, I buy one to ensure that my next child would be monitored by this great technology.
